Books are better then movies

I was reading another blog I had come across earlier this morning. One post caught my eye right off. It was about how books are better then movies. Definitely intriguing.

I have to agree. I personally barely ever watch television anymore. There is never anything worth watching on (other then the occasional horror movie or documentary). So sometimes if I can pry myself away from WoW or the internet altogether, I pick up a book to read.

And for the record, I like actual books. I could never own one of those retarded Nook’s or Kindle’s. Ugh.

Anyway, I have a lot of movie books. Like Star Wars (definitely better then the movies), I have one called The Final Cut. That one was TOTALLY better then the movie. I literally finished it less then a day. Right now I’m reading a take on Alice in Wonderland. I will tell you the version I’m reading is so much better then the one we’ve heard a million times. And it’s definitely better then the movie Tim Burton made (and I have that book too).

But reading movies (or television shows eg. Trueblood) is a lot better then seeing it on the t.v. The books tend to explain more and give you a better perspective of what is going on, which in turn makes it better for us to understand. Unless it’s one of those movies/books that confuses the fuck out of us either way. I hate those.

So that’s my take on the subject, but like Levar Burton says, you don’t have to take my word for it! I’ll see ya next time!

Fun Photography

Remember, before the ass-plosion of my blog (totally my fault… and Habari’s), I said I’d be doing more photography and learning of my camera? Well, I totally plan on it still. Sometime this week, the gods willing, I will be receiving my brand new Momoko. I have yet to purchase the other one I wanted, but I don’t have $150.00 so I may never get her. Otherwise I’d have two on the way!

Anyway!!

She will be my new guinea pig, along with my Pinky’s. I may even throw in some of the boy, but don’t count on those. I’m very paranoid and putting up photo’s of my kid makes me kinda nervous. Especially with all those photo snatchers out there that claim them as their own. Fucking pervs… But yea. I can’t wait till she gets here. The snow in my front courtyard is starting to melt and there’s this spot by the tree that would look awesome to take a picture of with Momoko. I shall name her Charlie by the way! She looks like a Charlie!

And for those of you e-mailing me calling me an immature child for photographing and buying dolls… I’d like to know what your hobbies are! They’re probably just as retarded. Not that I’m calling myself retarded, but I’m a cute person. I must have all that is cute. Yes, I’m almost 30! But I’m not into being little Susie Home-maker with the crafts and the cooking. It’s not my thing. So to you I say, eat my shorts!
