The left has finally gotten what it has longed for since Donald Trump announced his first candidacy for president in 2015: a bloodied Trump being led off a stage. But they didn’t get what they want most of all, for he is still alive.
Early Saturday evening, Donald Trump was speaking at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania when shots rang out. Trump turned, grabbed his ear, and then ducked behind the podium as Secret Service agents rushed to surround him. Moments later, he stood up and was being ushered quickly off the stage when he stopped the agents, saying: “Wait!” Then, his face bloodied, he raised his fist in defiance and said to the crowd, “Fight!”
Sound advice, succinctly stated. It is clear that if we don’t fight now, the forces of evil that so desperately want to destroy Trump will destroy us as well, as he has long warned, and the nation will be enveloped in authoritarian darkness.
Unless he was wounded more seriously than he initially appeared to be, Trump should be able to continue his campaign without serious difficulty. But nothing else should go on as usual. Amid all the tumult and confusion occasioned by this shooting, there is one certainty: this will lead to no introspection among the political and media elites. There will be no consideration whatsoever of how leftist rhetoric and media propaganda contributed to a climate of hatred that led to this happening. Yet this time, they must not be allowed to blame this shooting on Trump himself, or January 6, or climate change, or whatever new idiocy they may devise.
The New York Post is saying that law enforcement authorities have identified the shooter as a 20-year-old registered Republican, Thomas Matthew Crooks. If this is accurate, it will be the only detail the establishment media ever tells us about Crooks. But it may be a psy-op. Investigative journalist Paul Sperry noted some information that could be more illuminating of Crooks’ mindset: “NEW: FEC database shows a Thomas Crooks of 2506 Milford Dr., Pittsburgh, Pa., gave $15 to the Dem fundraising platform ACTBLUE on Jan. 20, 2021. The donation was earmarked for Progressive Turnout Project, which endorsed Biden and claims ‘Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy.’” Where could anyone have gotten that idea?
Even worse, an eyewitness stated that he pointed the shooter out to Secret Service several minutes before the shots rang out and was ignored. That’s either gross negligence or collusion, but we may never know which. Beyond that, there is no doubt: this shooting was the direct and unmistakable result of the left’s nine-year-long determination to destroy Trump. The left has been working to destroy Trump since he announced his candidacy in 2015. The left hamstrung his presidency with false charges of Russian collusion that wasted tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions, of taxpayer money. They impeached him twice on false charges.
They even sent agents provocateurs into the crowd at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 in order to frame him for a nonexistent “insurrection.” They have made misdemeanors into felonies and multiplied one offense into 34 by charging him for each of its constituent elements in order to saddle him with bogus felony convictions so that they could howl that he was a “convicted felon.” They lied to the world that he was a rapist over the unsupported claims of a woman who couldn’t even remember what year the traumatic event supposedly took place.
Old Joe Biden has long been one of the chief offenders. He has repeated lied about Trump’s statements and positions, even in the recent debate. On September 1, 2022, Old Joe Biden notoriously warned that “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.” Never before had an American president ruled his principal opponent, and the supporters of that opponent, outside the bounds of acceptable political discourse. Never before had a president politicized and weaponized the Justice Department to go after his opponent.
Yet Biden, the destroyer of the republic, and his fellow Democrats have repeatedly warned that Trump will destroy “our democracy,” hoping Americans will forget that Trump was president before and left the White House voluntarily on January 20, 2021. Less than two weeks ago, Biden’s campaign team claimed yet again that Trump was on January 6, 2021 “encouraging a violent mob to attack the Capitol.” This despite the fact that Trump told protestors to proceed “peacefully and patriotically.”
And on and on and on. The New Republic’s June 2024 cover features a Photoshop blend of Trump and Hitler. And all along, leftists dreamed of doing more. Just days ago, New York Times columnist John McWhorter said: “I wish somebody would kill Donald Trump.” He was just the latest in a long line. Remember Kathy Griffin holding a mockup of Trump’s severed head. Remember Madonna saying: “I’ve thought a lot about blowing up the White House.” Remember Johnny Depp asking: “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?”
In March 2024, longtime Democrat strategist James Carville said to Anderson Cooper: “I mean, to be candid, Anderson, President Biden is not the best attack politician I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’ll leave it at that. But there are a lot of people to do what I call ‘the wet work.'” That’s a common euphemism for assassination, and so Cooper responded: “Sounds like a mob hit.” Carville conceded the point: “Well, it’s kind of, but it’s paid TV and stuff like that. But yes, that’s a CIA term. Take a guy out.”
That was just the latest example of the left’s legitimization of political violence, and most notably of the Marxist group Antifa. Antifa is a violent, insurrectionist organization, not simply an “idea,” as Biden and others have claimed. Its premise is that government can’t be trusted to protect us from Trump’s fascists and trains its members in weapons and military strategies. This is an organization that the Democratic Party protects. During the George Floyd riots of 2020, the political and media elites coddled and even applauded the rioters. On Saturday evening, the world saw what kind of climate this created.
When the assassination attempt took place, Donald Trump was leading in the polls and — Democrat cheating aside — looked as if he had a good chance to return to the White House on January 20, 2025. Totalitarians that they are, leftists knew they had one more option. On Saturday, the world saw what it was.
And so now it should be abundantly clear that for all the media and Biden regime talk of “right-wing extremists,” the real threat of violence comes from the left, and always has. In a sane political system, Joe Biden and many others would be charged with inciting people to murder Trump. Though they will face no consequences, they still bear the responsibility. America must do everything legally possible to remove the cancer of the left from the body politic, or the parasite will most assuredly kill the host.
God bless President Trump and may we try to forgive the dead cretin who shot him and killed a bystander at that rally.

Of course, if we were immortal (which we are not) and lived forever in some heavenly dimension after our bodies died, then everything could be forgiven. Life then would be a delightful comedy, all’s well that ends well.
“I looked up “forgiving” in the dictionary and here is what it says: to grant free pardon for an offense. In other words, someone did something wrong, and you take the attitude that well, it’s in the past, I have no negative feelings. As far as I am concerned, morally it didn’t happen. I certainly think that for lesser things, this is possible. As long as it doesn’t imply something evil in the person and it’s not something major. For example, someone told me a secret and I inadvertently told the wrong person. The person was annoyed but they let it go. They decided it wasn’t deliberate. It wasn’t a major thing and the person didn’t think I was evil. So I asked the person if they would forgive me and they said yes.
But if we are talking about a big event and especially something that involves evil, then to forgive is to give a license to evil. The idea of forgiving your enemy is possible only if you want to sacrifice your values. If you think life is worth throwing away, which is what the Christians did when they started preaching that. One of the worst evils of Christianity is this idea of forgive your enemy. To turn the other cheek is a license to corruption. It makes a virtue of sanctioning evil. Your comment is logical, but theologically unsound.
For example, did God fail to care for His own Son, the LORD Jesus Christ, when He allowed sinful men to kill Him in a most shameful and painful way? What about the many Jewish prophets who were murdered by their own people? What about the Christian martyrs, also?
And those killed on 9/11 were also by divine intervention.
We may be immortal, or we may not be, but no one has been able to prove it one way or the other, despite thousands of years of attempts by the best minds. That is what bugs me most about THX’s baseless assertions.
Sorry, but the shooter was not a loosy shot, as the bullet would have hit Trump in exactly a fatal head shot had Trump not turned his head in the direction of the shot. It could have been the effect of police and other LEO’s running to the shooters location that got Trump’s attention just as he pulled the trigger. The first shot was dead on, but then he apparently sprayed the others as the lawmen came for him. I hope God had something to do with it, as we need some divine intervention with the evil we are facing.
Keep in mind that some people are just natural born assholes. They cope with the vagaries and hardships of life by being an asshole because they have no other coping skills. Their lot in life is to be odious miserable f**ks 24/7/365.
Forgiveness does not mean forgetfulness, nor does it require you to feel as though the offense never happened. We forgive for our own sakes, so that we do not become bitter. Forgiveness makes possible the restoration of relationship should the offender show sorrow and repent. Forgiveness is unilateral. Relationship is bilateral.
We forgive because we have been forgiven by God, and we wish to be like Him. The Beatitudes are about God, and how we are to be like him. Hence Matthew 5:48’s impossible call to be perfect, even as our Father in heaven is perfect.
The Beatitudes should be harmonized with Ecclesiastes 3: 1 – 8. There is a time to kill. There is a time for war. There is a time to hate. The same God of Matthew 5 is also the God of the rest of the Bible.
General principles: The Bible speaks as a unified whole. The Beatitudes show only one facet of God’s character, which is not limited to a few verses of Matthew 5. Never take your theology from atheists who hate that which they claim does not exist.
A scary prayer that few look deeply at, as it is prayed in rote fashion almost absentmindedly, asks therein to: ‘Forgive Me My Trespasses As I Forgive Those Who Trespass Against Me!’
Then again, perhaps I’m ‘reading too much into’ that prayer?

So ‘scuse me, but materialists somehow have supposedly impeccable reasoning why they are smarter than the highest trained philosophers of the ancient and classical periods from every civilization throughout history. To your point about security back in the Bill Clinton days – Clinton showed up at a county fair to make a speech. A relative of mine lived in the foothills surrounded by trees about 3 miles from the fair. Military helicopters were flying over my relative’s house scouting the treetops in an effort to look out for bad guys – not quite the same security that we saw yesterday for Trump.
CNN as of three hours ago was still reporting on my Microsoft Edge feed, that Trump’s speech was interrupted by the Secret Service. Such idiocy we have to put up with.

There was No excuse for this lapse in security. When rally goers were shouting that a man with gun climbed on a roof, there was no response from cops or Secret Service. So some or all of the security team is compromised.

I fully expected something like this. Two observations:
1) Where was the bullet proof glass that always is present in front of Trump at his rallies? Reminds me of the removal of the bubble top on Kennedy’s limousine. It’s almost as if the Secret Service knew there would be someone on the roof.
2) Why was the Secret Service so slow to react after the shooting. Were they giving the shooter time for another shot? I hope Trump ditches Biden’s Secret Service losers and hires his own protection.

Agree 100%. It saddens me that Flynn’s name is not being mentioned right before the RNC convention starts. Besides Ben Carson, I think Flynn is the only VP candidate that has not slandered Trump at one point in the past. After yesterday’s shooting, Trump now needs a war time consigliere as his VP. Flynn fits that bill – he was the only one to advise Trump to declare martial law for a short time after the 2020 election in order to stop Biden from stealing the white house – Biden’s nightmare in America and around the world could have been prevented.
Flynn should be appointed as head of the Defense Department or the CIA. Both need a deep house cleaning and he is just the man for the job.
