The attempted assassination of President Trump falls into that category. Since it’s politically inconvenient, 1 in 3 Dems have already adopted the position that it was staged.
One in three registered Democrats believe it is “credible” that the shooting Saturday in Butler, Pa., was staged and not intended to kill Trump, according to a Morning Consult poll released Monday.
The poll numbers show that it’s a real phenomenon. There’s a lot of nonsense about BlueAnon, but this isn’t a movement. It’s just what happens when you get your reality from social media. It’s also what happens when a society no longer has any concept of objective truth and people just pick whatever truth fits their preconceptions.
And the 1 in 3 number is just an early assessment. Now that there’s a whole infrastructure of grifters ‘analyzing videos frame by frame’, doing substacks and podcasts on it, then followed by books describing it as the new Reichstag fire, expect those numbers to climb even higher.
The media destroyed its credibility through relentless partisan bias not just for conservatives, but also for much of the public. A culture of lying set in along with online conspiracy grifters and nuts who make millions from social media.
But while it’s easy to take shots at Ear Truthers, is this really any crazier than Democrats and the media insisting for years that Putin rigged the 2016 election with Facebook ads and controlled Trump through videos of urinating prostitutes? It’s certainly no crazier and perhaps actually less crazy.
If you believe, as Dems claim to, that Putin is running Trump through a series of conspiracies, this makes perfect sense. It’s the media that chooses to draw the line at one insane conspiracy, but not another, which is being inconsistent.
Leftists can convince themselves of anything they have to in order to remain deluded Leftists.

About 20% or 25% of people are flat earthers, so 33% of Democrats is about what one would expect. Despite the craziness of thinking Trump would take a shot like that for a photo op.
I once had a disastrous argument with a flat earther. I thought she was putting me on, so I tried to explain how the Earth goes around the Sun. She insisted the Sun goes around the Earth. “I can see it every morning” she said. Thinking back on all her other craziness, like believing in Tarot cards and such, I realized recently she may have really believed it 🙂
Also, another person was killed, 2 others seriously wounded. Is that all for show?

I think it would be very important to have legitimate people analyze all the ballistics, the poor people that were shot (the one hero who lost his life protecting his family and the other two that were critically injured where they were standing/sitting in relation to Trump being shot etc.). I saw a post that I feel brought up very good points. Does it seem plausible that the “one shooter” on the “sloped” roof actually did hit President Trump and the other three people? Is it possible, as the poster stated, that the guy on the roof was just a decoy and the real shooters (more than one) were some where else? The Director Cheatle stated that it was “too dangerous” to have her people on the “sloped” roof and therefore had them “inside” that building! Why have we still not had legitimate people analyze and report all the relevant data. I pray that there are now loyal and skilled people protecting President Trump and his family.

The protection of Trump was so poor that any thinking person would know you don’t leave a rooftop or any similar position unprotected. I read that that building was assigned to local police. A local police officer was directed to the shooter by an event attendee and went up the ladder and saw the assassin who pointed the rifle at the policeman who rushed down the ladder and hid in the building with the other officers assigned to it. This happened a couple of hours before the attack on Trump
The number of SS personnel assigned to protect Trump at that even was way below standards. That is because a great many SS agents were off protecting a bunch of foreign dignitaries in WDC, and Jill Biden arranged an event nearby in PA.
Still think it was not a planned assassination? How did the shooter know he would not be detected and killed before he shot Trump? That is a sure sign, because he knew the roof of the building with the best shot location would not be protected.
Lastly, the SS counter snipers did not shoot the assassin, even though they located him well before he shot the first round and could have killed him. Why didn’t they? Because their orders were not to shot until he fired a shot. That is plain stupid. The SS will let an assassin have a free shot! Many attendees pointed the shooter to local police who took no action

Those of you who think it was staged, ask yourselves this one question. Would you want to be a part of a staged assassination attempt and whine up getting killed yourself as part of a hoax. Remember, the person shooting was shot and killed. Think about that. If the shooter was doing it for publicity, he certainly paid a heavy price. If he did it hoping to become a Hollywood star, that did not work out either. If he was paid, then he will not be able to spend the money.
When you look at all the facts, it is obvious that the assassination attempt was real. It was not a staged. It is hard to believe there are so many ignorant people in the Democratic party.
That the narrative suggesting the Trump assassination attempt was staged really is no surprise.
But I thought they would have manufactured the narrative more quickly.
