There are a lot of blog carnivals on the internet. And I have found that a few of them are parent(ing) related. So there should be enough already, right? Probably. But I wanted to make just one more that I could hold for myself on my own site. So I made The Mommy Blog carnival and added it to the list of others out there.

It’s held once a month and parenting/mommy blogs from all over the internet are welcome to submit a post to be featured when the carnival post goes up. Sounds fun, huh? It’s also a way to spread a little of your site around the ‘net so that it can be seen by others that haven’t ever visited before. And in return, you yourself find some new blogs to visit.

So what are the rules?
There aren’t many. But the few that I do have are as follows:

• Only one post per blog/website. Please!!
• The post has to be from a mommy/daddy blog or website.
• Try to keep it parenting related. Whether it’s about your kids, a news review, book review, product review.
• No advertising, splog, or other kinds of weird posts that don’t relate to the theme. (I’ve gotten some doozies!)
• Please try to provide an excerpt for your submission so that people will know what your post is about.

See, not many. It may be harsh but I want to keep it as family friendly as possible.

The carnival is posted once a month, like I said before. Submissions are taken until midnight on the 14th of the month. And the post goes up on the 15th of the month. You can submit your post here, if you’d like to participate.
