Things That Go Bump In The Night
I was bouncing around the blogosphere when I came across a post at Reasonable Kansans. She talks about how Furbies scare her little one husband.
I have my own horror story about those evil creatures of the toy business. I swear these things come off the line possessed! Anyway, my grandmother bought us (all the kids) all Furbies once. I think we got em for Christmas. So we played with ‘em and taught them how to swear and everything. Yes we were naughty children, I won’t deny that. I still am. Hehe.
Well I brought mine home and sat it on my dresser and forgot all about it. I guess that was the wrong thing to do because one night it woke up (I’m not kidding) and said “Feed Me”. I almost shit myself. It had never said anything until that night. I’m a light sleeper so I would have heard it! But I threw it in the closet and forgot about it again. A few nights later, I hear “Hungry”. That was it. I was done. I threw it out with the trash the next day. I have never been more scared in my life.
So yes. Furbies are the devil reincarnated. In my opinion anyway. Do you have your own Furbie horror story?
