Site
There’s nothing to special about this site, other then it’s possibly the five hundredth domain in a long line of other domains I’ve purchased and let die. This is, if you haven’t figured it out yet, my personal domain. It’s just a blog. And a very uninteresting one at that. I just needed a place to write my thoughts on things and get other people’s opinions. Not much of that going on though. Plenty of thoughts, no opinions. Guess I’m the most boring mother in the mommyverse. 
The Domain
This domain is the result of a replacement for a domain I used to own called pjmommy.com. Some of you may know it. It’s a mommy magazine now. The owner, Amanda, used to talk to me every day. But as many others have done, she went on her merry little way and now has a money making mommy blog. Kinda like what I tried to have but failed miserably. So at the time of us talking, we were trying to come up with a name I could get for my site that wasn’t too teeniebopper sounding (yea, definitely dodged that bullet *cough*) and didn’t suck. So I came up with thesocalledme.net. Don’t ask me why. I was probably half asleep or pre-occupied with playing iRO at the time of the decision. It was mostly her idea though. She said buy it or she would. So I did.
The Layout
I made this layout. There was inspiration from all over the ‘net. I don’t remember where they were, or what they were, but they’re out there. If I ever think of them or find them again, I’ll be sure to post about it, or post links somewhere around here. I was mostly trying to duplicate my link directory layout (made that too) without using the header. I think I did pretty good. Do not steal it.
