The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) trustees have voted 15-7 to add “anti-Palestinian racism” to its updated 2024 special program, Combatting Hate and Racism-Student Learning Strategy: “TDSB trustees vote to adopt ‘anti-Palestinian racism’ term”, CBC, June 20, 2024:
….The board’s learning strategy already addresses antisemitism and Islamophobia. If the board accepts the updates in the report Wednesday, a new working group will be created to form a strategy addressing anti-Palestinian racism and discrimination in schools and introduce a “professional learning series” to understand anti-Palestinian racism in addition to Muslim identities and Islamophobia, according to the report.
….. As trustees voted, hundreds of members of the Jewish community rallied outside a meeting of the TDSB’s Program and School Services Committee, saying the board is adopting a divisive concept that could lead to more antisemitism in schools.
Every sphere of society has been politicized, and corresponding policies have been developed. Woke activism has taken over the education system. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is pushed as a secular religion, and has saturated the school system. Now, as the Gaza war continues, DEI will be fully harnessed and manipulated, with Israel portrayed as an oppressive colonialist entity, while Palestinians are portrayed as victims. The truth is that Jews are indigenous to Israel, with a three-thousand-year history, while Palestinians are Ottoman South Syrians with a much more scanty history in the region. Israel is not an “occupying” entity. It is the one tiny homeland for Jews, while Islam colonized the vast Middle East and seeks to finish the job by destroying Israel.
Let’s revisit 2017, when the Toronto District School Board released a 170-page guidebook for teachers during Islamic Heritage Month. The TDSB recommended “a variety of religious intrusions into the public school system. A list of announcements it suggests be read before or after the playing of O Canada include the Muslim greeting ‘As-salamu alaykum’.” The guidebook also contained an alarming definition of “Islamophobia.” It defined the term as “fear, prejudice, hatred of dislike directed against Islam or Muslims, or towards Islamic politics or culture.” After B’nai Brith, teachers and parents expressed deep concern, the guidebook was pulled.
The inclusion of “anti-Palestinian racism” sets a dangerous precedent, and is causing divisions within the Toronto District School Board.
A motion brought forward by TDSB Chair Rachel Chernos Lin to have the report sent back to staff for a second look was not carried in a 4-4 vote.
…. “[The] lack of a definition has caused fear among some community members, particularly Jewish community members,” Chernos Lin said.
What exactly is “anti-Palestinian racism”?
Could opposing pro-Hamas initiatives, demonstrations and encampments be deemed “racism”? Recently, a Leftist group accused Canada’s antisemitism envoy Deborah Lyons of defaming the “pro-Palestine” movement. Israel was also put in the ridiculous position of having to refute accusations by an Atlantic Council project and Meta that it was feeding “Islamophobia” in Canada over the Gaza war. We see a pattern at work: an effort to invert the truth about the savagery of October 7 and why Hamas must be destroyed, while it uses Palestinians as human shields and depends on money flowing in from Iran.
Also, how does one determine who is “Palestinian,” unless activism is a criterion? There are no distinctive physical or cultural traits that identify Palestinians other than their activism, or “resistance” — which is grounded in an history of extreme violence that is encouraged by the Palestinian Authority and Hamas.
Also, would opposing the revolutionary keffiyeh be deemed “discriminatory” under the Toronto District School Board’s new engagement, which was overseen with participation from Muslim Student Associations and Palestinian Student Associations?
Rahim Mohamed writes in the National Post writes that the TDSB’s “’anti-Palestinian racism’ plan is unnecessary and troubling” since the plan “could target Jewish students who support Israel’s existence.” But it is not just Jewish students but anyone who openly supports Israel’s existence and opposes the so-called Palestinian “resistance”. Mohamed also rightly referred to the scheme as “dangerous territory”.
The Palestinian “resistance” is aggressive and relentless. It is responsible for the murder of countless Jews in Israel. Those murders have been paid for and encouraged via the Palestinian Authority’s pay-for-slay fund, aka the martyrs fund. This legislated fund sees the allocation of monthly salaries and benefits to the tune of $300 million annually go to terrorists (jailed and released) and to the families of “martyrs.”
The new “anti-Palestinian racism” term drew hundreds of demonstrators to the front lawn of the Toronto District School Board. Protesters pointed out that the board failed to “acknowledge rising antisemitism in schools.”
The savagery of October 7 was justified by Hamas supporters, who are now indistinguishable from those who are “pro-Palestinian.” Both support the “resistance,” a.k.a. the annihilation of Israel from the River to the Sea, or otherwise, a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, which will eventually achieve the same thing.
Many leftist students who ally with Palestinian “resistance” activists are ignorant about the cause of the conflict, but they are being groomed as revolutionaries, and are contributing to a worrying strain of antisemitism.
For the TDSB to recognize “anti-Palestinian racism” at the expense of confronting that rising antisemitism paints a grim picture in light of the October 7 atrocities.
The Palestinian “resistance” has already gained accolades and gratitude from the highest authority in Shia Islam, the Ayatollah Khamenei, who thanked pro-Hamas college students in the US “for standing on the right side of history”:
You have now formed a branch of the Resistance Front and have begun an honorable struggle in the face of your government’s ruthless pressure – which openly supports Zionists.
— Khamenei.ir (@khamenei_ir) May 29, 2024
The “resistance” will only grow if left unopposed or appeased, as it now seeks shelter under Canada’s DEI doctrine.

Excuse me but isnt that a Crecent on their Sign where the Star?
Steve says
Predictable, in Justin Castreau’s Canada, and in a city where the majority of hate crimes target Jews (not transgender Muslim Palestinians of color, as the wokelings would have us believe). The other thing is that Palestinian nationalism is completely synthetic (“Palestinians” are indistinguishable from Arabs in neighboring countries in culture, religion and language) and was invented for the sole purpose of completing Hitler’s work by perpetrating another Holocaust. “The Two State [Final] Solution” is merely a transitional step.
Kasandra says
How can there even be “Palestinian racism?”. ” Palestinians” a not a people, nationality or race. They’re an invention of Arafat and the KGB.
Alkflaeda says
If racism is what the victim perceives it to be, presumably race can be as well. Just think, all those college students can self-identify as Palestinian (without, of course, losing the benefits of citizenship in their country of birth).
