In the news reports about the anti-police mayhem by young people in Austin Texas, one common element is missing: the obvious fact that Austin is a college town, home to one of America’s once-great educational institutions.
This fact is not peripheral to the outbreak of lawlessness that tore apart Austin that night but central. Like virtually every major academic institution in America, the University of Texas, is a bastion of anti-American, anti-police, anti-white hatreds, and has been so since conservatives were purged from its liberal arts faculties beginning in the 1970s, to be replaced by ideologues rather than scholars, whose agendas were and remain not scholarly but political.
Having written five volumes describing the transformation of American universities into institutions hostile to America and its constitutional foundations, it is apparent to me that the source of our current ills – the lawlessness in our streets, the destruction of our borders, the racist “equity” policies of the Democrat Party, the “woke” derelictions of our military leaders, can all be traced to the indoctrination of our educated classes in hatreds spawned by cultural Marxism. Marxism is a creed that has resulted in more than 100 million deaths in peacetime, and continent-wide suffering on a scaled unprecedented in the annals of human history.
Just as the universities in Germany were the first institutions to join the Nazi cause, so American universities have handed over their curricula, to anti-American enemies of America beginning with Stalinist Russia and extending on to Castro’s Cuba, Communist China, and terrorist Iran. They have even given their institutional support to a Palestinian movement which sided with Hitler during World War II, and which today promises to finish the job that Hitler started by destroying Israel – the only liberal democracy in the Middle East – and making it “Jew-free.”
I am not alone in thinking that curing this cancer in our midst is essential to restoring the constitutional republic that America once was by reviving the principles and values that made it a beacon to the world. The path to achieving this result begins with recognizing that our premier universities have in their liberal arts programs become one-party states ruled by ignorance and bigotry, and thus breeding grounds for civic and racial hatreds and lawlessness. To remedy this state of affairs Americans must press for the de-funding of these institutions, withholding the federal and state monies that help to spread their hatreds until such time as their faculties represent the true intellectual diversity of America, and eliminate one-sided political indoctrination courses from their curricula.
If they really want the racists off their campus they should vote out the Democrats

Democrats will not willingly give up power. Before the 24 election terr will be some pretext by the left to declare martial law or a similar evil. It will be a coup.
If the country survives without violence it will be a minor miracle.

Sadly, most parents have no clue how radically Marxist the American University actually is. They believe that a college degree — even if it involves “some” indoctrination — is essential to upward mobility and that, in any case, parental upbringing will make their offspring immune from the ideological conversion into Social Justice Warriors.
As a conservative academic, I know they couldn’t be more mistaken. By the time most parents recognize the totality of the conversion — and that, in many cases, their children’s ideological transformation is so profound that they reject not only past parental influence but the parents themselves — it is too late.
I agree 100% with David Horowitz that the highly politicized American university can no longer be reformed. The rot is too deep. Americans must press for the de-funding of these institutions. Also, the de-funding must go beyond the withholding of federal and state moneys. It must include legacy funding and private donations.
Only when the money dries up is there hope to restore the university to its original mission: the search for truth and the education for constitutionally grounded citizenship.

I believe congress and State legesltors should take the defund tact, as well as going after the educational colleges and accredation standards. I think those are set by som ED board or organization, but the terms of accredation are “agreed” to or, “signed off” on by the state and feds to be eligible for funding. Put derious academic standarsds in place to accredate teachers too.
High standards and truth always weed out the Marxists.
It’s the academics not the academy that are the problem. They know of nothing practical just theory after theory and there’s so many theories out there. Can they prove their theories? Only by manipulating the statistics.
Hitler started with the young people because they are easily manipulated, and the SS was mostly young men and they were the cruelest of all.
The British police service has changed its demographics in the same manner, anyone over 50 is encouraged to retire with a very good pension. They have been replaced with young policemen who need a university degree to be appointed.

I do not want to misattribute the following but concede it is not original. Economists argue education should be subsidized because of its “positive externalities.” Someone asserted that maybe, since students are being taught to undermine the foundations for the greatest nation to ever exist, that education should instead be taxed for its “negative externalities.”
“Diversity” on college campuses does not mean diverse viewpoints. Instead, it now means people who look different but all share the same leftist viewpoints. The people who support defending the police are shocked that crime has subsequently risen and is disproportionately visited on poor communities.
No one should be surprised the evidence shows colleges are failing miserably at improving students’ ability to think critically. Too many of their professors cannot think critically.

Back in the 60’s many college hippie’s didn’t want to be drafted into the military. So, they stayed in school and became professional students. Sex. drugs and rock and roll. If it feels good just do it. These parasites slowly took over our schools while everyone else stood by pretending it wasn’t happening.

No, Hitler didn’t make his intentions clear from the beginning. For example, Hitler knew the majority of Germans were Christians. Hitler did not want to alienate such a large group of people he needed on his side at the moment. Eventually, Hitler removed pictures of Jesus Christ from schools and replaced it with pictures of himself. He would start to hold rally’s on Sundays and require everything shut down (churches). Slowly removing the worship of Christianity and replacing it with the state.
It’s examples like this is what I’m referring to. Hitler couldn’t come in and state he was going to wipe out Christianity right away. It was little by little by little.

This is true. One of my grandmother’s lived in Germany and no one had a clue that Hitler would remove Christianity from the public square. Hitler hid his intent there. My grandmother taught in German schools, and there were pictures of Jesus in all the classrooms.
Once Hitler started to strengthen his power, and had already gained the trust of the German people, is when the pictures of Jesus were removed and replaced with portraits of himself in the classrooms. He also had crucifixes removed from schools..

50 years ago I was telling parents to get their kids out of “prestige” colleges if they didn’t want them to be communized. “But, they need the degree to be successful,” they would whine. Parents of America, it’s your own fault.
When jobs that don’t really require a college degree become jobs that require a college degree, like being a secretary, or stocking shelves, you know the system has been corrupted. It has become a way to keep kids in debt and stuck in a pointless serf system
As someone who was very influenced by the anti-Vietnam movement and the utopian socialism that accompanied it – not to mention the alienation from the mainstream culture that was pervasive – I do think it may have had a purist vein that seemed justifiable at the time. But the main lesson to be learned was 1) I was lucky in a way for having left the U.S to protest the war & ended up in the SE Asian war zone and came across refugees from Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos in Bangkok where I was teaching English – that’s how I came across some – and the worm started to turn. Also, when you’re 7K mi from home and experience how chauvinistic most people are in other countries – you look at American patriotism differently – it’s not unusual. & the ‘old ways’ didn’t give me all that I sought. Faculty who are found to have pushed all forms of woke ideology should be prosecuted. The University would lose it’s accreditation, and all funding. Private funding should be investigated to identify where those funds are coming from.. such as China. If the overall efforts of China can be shown to constitute a nationwide conspiracy to damage the USA, all involved should be prosecuted. Assets should be confiscated. New faculty must be qualified and monitored.
The last two “election” cycles are glaring examples of why your excellent suggestion have failed in the recent past (if even attempted. As attributed to Stalin(?) “the vote COUNTERS determine who wins (not the voters), i.e., the “investigators” decide who/what gets ‘authentically’ investigated and they and other “elected” officials decide the outcome. We are at the ‘point of no return’ and we must all get vigorously engaged now, or else the resulting chaos and carnage will be historic. Phone your reps now and follow up! Demand they either fight back now or step aside!
