Well, there are a lot of ways to lack resources. Maybe Congress didn’t appropriate enough money. Or there may have been plenty of money but it was spent improvidently, like hiring a lot of DEI consultants to “train” employees and employees to manage DEI programs. Or they had enough agents but too many were assigned to protectees with low threat profiles (e.g., Jill Biden) leaving too few to be assigned to a protectee with an enormous threat profile (e.g., Donald Trump)). As President Trump says, we’ll just have to see.
