Front Page Magazine’s exclusive report that Biden’s nominee for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Chief of Staff Charles Brown, had signed off on a 43% quota for white male officers made waves. In interviews, I warned that quotas had become more fundamental to the military than winning. And it’s been that way for a while. That’s why we have a very diverse woke brass that is incapable of winning wars, yet argues for abortion and transgenderism.
The Biden administration’s obsession with making diversity, equity and inclusion into the center of every military program has put more pressure on the woke brass to deliver results.
The U.S. Army missed its recruiting goals in the previous fiscal year by 25% or 15,000 soldiers. Next year recruiters expect to miss by at least 10,000 which suggests that it will be even worse. But the Army is far more concerned with missing its far more crucial equity recruiting goals.
The Army needs to recruit minorities: not the same old boring white men like Washington, Eisenhower or Audie Murphy. That’s why its recruiters are making videos in different languages through FLRI or the Foreign Language Recruiting Initiative. Beyond Spanish, the program focuses on Chinese, Russian, Tagalog, and numerous other languages.
Army flyers begin with “No Habla Ingles?” No problem. You can still “reciba dinero” and get “education gratis”. So long as you have a green card and a pulse, you’re in.
No Habla Ingles, an inability to speak English, or a nationality from two of the country’s major enemies, aren’t a problem. An AP story on the Air Force recruitment of foreign nationals notes that “in many cases the immigrants are not immediately put in jobs that require top secret clearance” implying that in some cases they are immediately put into such jobs.
The Army however isn’t just looking for warm bodies, but bodies of the right color.
That’s why active duty personnel are being barraged with requests to update their REDCAT information. REDCAT stands for Racial Ethnic Designation Category and was created to track conformity with identity politics quotas. Ever since racial and ethnic quotas were made a goal, recruiters and IPPS-A, the Army’s human resources system, have been pushed to bring REDCAT numbers into line with quota goals. And IPPS-A has been hectoring personnel to update their race and ethnicity data in the hopes of finding more hidden minorities in the ranks.
Some messages insist that “updating/adding REDCAT data is voluntary” while others demand that soldiers “personally update race, ethnicity and religion”. In pursuit of REDCAT quotas, a message from the United States Army Special Operations Command urges soldiers to “select the ethnic group code that includes the most accurate description of ethnic background or combination of ethnicities in their ethnic background.”
Anyone who can find any Cherokee or Latinos in their family tree is welcome to do so.
This is part of the ‘Tracking and Managing Diversity in Army Recruiting Efforts’. Since not enough diversity has been found, there’s a frantic search for diversity that may have been overlooked. Forget winning wars against China, this is about winning the war on racism.
And that’s the real woke war that the military is being tasked with fighting.
The cynicism of military racial quotas can be spotted in a message that notes, “if Soldiers opt out of even reviewing their data, the data that was converted will still exist, whether accurate or not.” It will also make it possible for convenient errors to creep in. Any soldiers with a last name that sounds Hispanic will shortly be listed as such, even if their last name is Italian. A whole lot of white men and women whose last name is Greene, Davis or Jackson may accidentally end up black. Such mistakes happen and there will be too many of them for anyone to check.
The REDCAT numbers will show that the U.S. Army looks more “like America” than ever.
At the Virginia National Guard, past recruitment was aimed at making the Guard “match the demographics of the state within 1% of the REDCAT” and when that failed, developing a “target for underrepresented groups each FY by comparing census data” and then “if the demographics are not within the 1% target develop three (3) COAs to attain the objective by 28 February of each year.”
Rather than getting the best people or even adequately qualified people, the goal is to match the force to the census data in a completely senseless exercise so that the people they do get are 20% black, 7.2% Asian, and 0.6% American Indian, or develop a plan to get those Asians.
That’s what deciding that the military should “look like America” really means in the ranks. You can’t have too many white men, but too many black men could also become a problem. If the goal is to match the census, then you can’t have too few minorities or too many. Come on in Jiang, we haven’t met our Chinese quota yet, sorry Jose, we have too many Hispanics already.
But the one thing you can never have too little of is identity politics virtue signaling.
The woke military brass celebrated Pride Month with drag shows and rainbow flags across bases from Japan to Texas. Taking part in LGBTQ pride parades and drag shows is another duty.
Commanders are not only required to examine “the unit’s demographic racial and ethnic designation categories” for “at least twice a year”, but they also have to review “member participation in ethnic and special observances”. We may not win any wars, but as long as everyone shows up to hold a rainbow flag and applaud Bob twirling in a tutu, it’s all good.
Who needs a few good men when you can have a few good trans-men of color? And who cares if they speak English? No Habla Ingles? No problemo! Having HIV is not a problem. Being from an enemy nation is not a problem. Being a man who believes he’s a woman is not a problem.
Being white, especially a heterosexual male, is a very big problem. We need a military that looks like America and white heterosexual men look nothing like America.
This is why our military is in us worst level of war fighting readiness since before Pearl Harbor
My only suggestion would be ….”Start up the Draft again” !!!!! It would accomplish Two things right away……#1 take half of the Gang member kids off the streets and #2 Reduce killings and Crime by
75% !!!!! The military has been begging for Recruits for as long as I can remember (If a person can maintain room Temperature…Your IN.) ….Too often young people turn to Military life for learning a trade, getting a regular paycheck and have some dignity……In other words they look at Military service a simply a job ( they never think for enough into the future that they may actually be called upon to Defend their Country???? And actually use the Training they receive in a Combat situation !!!! Having Gay/lesbian folks or worse yet Trans people in the ranks of a front line Fighting Army is a Hindrance to a fighting man, reduces confidence and overall efficiency as well as works adverse to our Civilian Social structure !!!!! Our Government is making a Huge mistake. I only hope clear heads in Congress will prevail,(But I don’t have much faith in that happening) !!!!
Reinstitute the draft? LOL. The backlash to that would make the draft riots of 1863 and the Vietnam era anti war riots…look like a Sunday picnic. 22 years (in two branches) as a grunt…I would not support a draft. And I’m not alone in that sentiment. The problem lies with society and the the government that’s destroying it. Fox that, and 7/8 of the Nations problems would disappear. No draft. Unless you’re looking for a Donnybrook…on a national scale.
Have you seen the physical condition of most young people these days? Obesity is becoming the norm. Even if you draft them, they will be useless on the battlefield.
Also, those kids fall to pieces when their WiFi goes down. You’d probably have to Instagram marching orders to them. They are not a fighter material.

Defending and protecting the nation is not a laughing matter, but your writing got a few laughs out of me.
If we push worry aside for even a nanosecond, and think out, way way out, of the box of reality, the absurdity of the situation does tease out the laughter.
But here’s an idea: Imagine scenarios of idiot sitcom material tinged with clever subtle satire – which might be an entertaining way to maybe undermine the woke as election 2024 approaches.
Consider – All the DEI actors played by actual DEI people. Move the woke agenda and its humorless goal of destruction out of the political sphere, onto that tv screen that takes up an entire wall. Hire actors who fit the DEI criteria to be really convincing in their roles/reality and, assuming the actors have the chops, the viewer will absolutely believe they are the real thing, that is, on the screen, not in real life.
The reverse ironic exception is the current real president who is terrible at acting the role of president.
Obama initiated this era of veneer: If you pretend to be someone, then you are. He courted Hollywood stars, who, we know are the people they pretend to be.
I remember a Wall Street journal article in 2008 comparing a photo of Michele Obama to Jackie Kennedy: same hairdo, black shift dress and pearl necklace.
So where are the
counter-woke creative writers, directors and producers who have the talent to reach out to the cultural masses with an ingenious artistic strategy to re-energize and re-activate the American brain, make it think for itself again, and snap it out of its hypnotized stupor?
And Obama continues to run the show from any one of his three multi-million dollar abodes. How did he come about all of this wealth? He was the original ‘big guy’ before Biden* and because of Biden*.

When the shooting starts will commanders whose casualties are out of demographic compliance be penalized or will they be encouraged to shoot members of under performing groups to bring up their numbers?

Weaken the military, advocate for no principles or character of those who serve, open the borders, give over US healthcare to the CCP, promote a secular society without God, give up energy independence, get the US involved in Ukraine foreign war, the US is being whittled down to nothing because the CCP wants to dominate their billions of people and the U.S. as well. Our military is being systematically destroyed. None of the armed services can meet their recruiting goals. So, to fix the problem they are drastically reducing physical standards and even minimum intelligence standards. I always thought the Military was the last bastion of American ideals and the last meritocracy. They’ve already corrupted all the other three letter agencies (the FBI, the DOJ, the CIA, the IRS, the DOE) and now Lloyd Austin and General Milley are transforming the Department of Defense (the DOD). The communist takeover from within is near complete.
Even with massive shortfalls they discharged thousands (including elite Navy Seals and Army Rangers) who wouldn’t get vaccinated. Then Milley testified before Congress about “white rage” and now they have CRT training, promote transgenderism and run recruiting ads painting “rainbow bullets” on Marine’s helmets and illegally saluting the “rainbow flag”. Our all volunteer military has historically been majority patriotic young white Americans. It is actually 58% White, 17% Black, 16% Asian and 9% “other”. Why on earth would any young white American want to serve anymore in a Military that teaches that he is an “oppressor” and a racist and that race and sexual identity trumps merit for promotions. Already in a staffing crisis, it will become catastrophic. Our military is becoming another woke joke and the Russians and the Chinese are rolling on the ground laughing…….

I’m not sure about this but didn’t the Roman Empire fall, in part, because of its need to conscript foreigners into its armies? Although the Romans did and the U.S. are doing the same thing for different reasons the results will be the same, armies with no loyalty to the “host” nation that speak different languages and a leadership with no incentive to defend the homeland.

A long time ago before the all volunteer force, there was the Selective Service. Reasonably strict standards existed for physical and mental fitness and to some extent moral character. While some flexibility existed for draftees those who volunteered to serve in most branches were not allowed to enlist just because they wanted too. The mission of defending our nation superseded the individuals willingness or desire to serve.
It appears that we as a nation have lowered our own standards of fitness. The leadership of our military has been intentionally debased by politicians who have no concept of their responsibilities to the defense of our nation and no expectation that the defense of our country by our military is the highest priority. Men and Women may have the conviction that serving our country is worth putting their lives on the line. However serving under fools has become too great of a sacrifice for anyone.
So how many illegal migrants are we going to allow into the armed forces to adequately reflect American society in 2023?
Does anyone remember the Iraqi army from Desert Storm? That’s what we’re getting by reducing the US military to lowest common denominator status.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the military I served for 20 year, including two combat tours during Vietnam, was to fight our enemies and win wars. Was I wrong?

From the article, I think Daniel Greenfield and those at the top need to fix bayonets and wear a pack into a hostile fire zone for the next two years. Our forefathers were ten times smarter than present day “senior leadership”. They knew men’s minds wandered; they knew some were destined to not be heterosexual. Therefore, the quiet policy was to keep it in the closet. it worked for centuries until lesser men like Clinton and Obama came along propped open the closet door, causing problems until the door is closed again. Once Daniel gets an opportunity to live in close quarters, serve in combat, learn the hard lessons in life, will he appreciate our forefathers and their decisions on how to handle the 4% that can’t behave normally.
