This coming Sunday, at the most widely viewed sporting event in America, the Super Bowl, the National Football League will feature the singing of “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” the song first known as the “Negro national anthem” and now known as the “black national anthem.”
In order to ensure that those present at the game and the more than 100 million people watching on television cannot avoid hearing it, the “black national anthem” will, according to the schedule I have seen, be played after the actual national anthem of the United States. If that is the case, this will presumably be done in order to also ensure that everyone is still standing when it is sung. The NFL probably fears that some of those attending the game — specifically, those who possess two increasingly rare traits: love of America and courage — might not rise for the “black national anthem.” But if they were already standing for the national anthem, few will sit when the “black national anthem” is then sung. The NFL doesn’t want a repeat of what occurred at last year’s Super Bowl in Arizona, when, as ABC News reported, “Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake went viral in 2023 for remaining seated during a performance of the song at Super Bowl LVII.” Last year, the “black national anthem” was played prior to the national anthem.
How destructive a decision performing the “black national anthem” at sporting events is — whether before or after the national anthem — can be summarized this way: Roger Goodell, the NFL commissioner, is among the few Americans of whom it will one day be said that he seriously damaged America. In 2021, the Washington Times noted, “Under Roger Goodell, the NFL has gone far beyond the kneeling; it’s doubling down on ‘social justice.’ In addition to painting more slogans in the end zones and on players’ helmets, the League will be donating $250 million to Black Lives Matter and other activist groups to ‘combat systemic racism and support the battle against the ongoing and historical injustices faced by African-Americans.'”
(Also in 2021, the NFL released a 30-second video titled “Football Is Gay.”)
Last week, the “black national anthem” was sung before the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Detroit Lions playoff game.
The National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball are competing with the NFL to see which organization can inject more divisive left-wing politics into sports. For example, before the 2023 NBA All-Star Game, played in Salt Lake City, black singer Jully Black changed an opening word of the Canadian national anthem from “O Canada! Our home and native land!” to “O Canada! Our home on native land!” — emphasizing the word “on.”
During the 2023 baseball season, the Los Angeles Dodgers honored — yes, honored, not merely featured — an LGBT activist group, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, composed of men dressed as nuns mocking Catholic nuns.
Meanwhile, the NFL continues to paint “anti-racist” slogans in end zones and play the “black national anthem” before important games.
Not to be outdone by the NFL, NBA or MLB, the U.S. Open men’s and women’s tennis singles finals did not even feature the U.S. national anthem. Instead, the “black national anthem” and “America the Beautiful” were sung. The latter is indeed a beautiful and patriotic song, but the fact is that one “national anthem” was played — and it wasn’t America’s. As former ESPN anchor Sage Steele wrote on X: “Ahhh… the irony of refusing to allow our national anthem … at the *US* Open. I remain hopeful that we can get back to truly appreciating the greatness of America, but man…this is sad.”
Two big lessons here.
The first is that the Left seeks to destroy America as we have known it. Playing two “national anthems” has no other goal than disuniting Americans. The message of singing the “black national anthem” is as clear as day: There is a black America and there is the rest of America. That many Americans, especially blacks, welcome this is nothing less than a national tragedy.
The second is the most important: The Left destroys everything it touches. High schools, elementary schools, universities, journalism, the nuclear family, young Americans’ mental health, male-female relations, religion, our borders, love of country, medicine, and medical schools — the list includes every noble institution and ideal in our country.
And sports.
In 2001, following 9/11, the great black Chicago Cubs player Sammy Sosa hit a home run and ran around the bases waving a small American flag. Fifteen years later, Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the playing of the national anthem. The Left, led by Barack Obama, Joe Biden, the Democratic Party, the media, the schools and universities, had done their damage. So, now we play two “national anthems.”
E Pluribus Unum is dead. For the Left, another touchdown.
In order to unify America, Lincoln welcomed the Southern states whose succession was militarily suppressed, to rejoin the Republic without rancor or revenge. The Democrats were so grateful they shot him in the head.
The so called black anthem is a disgrace to the United States of America.

All these multi-million dollar sports franchises bowing down to Blacks
to “support the battle against the ongoing and historical injustices faced
by African-Americans”. Ongoing? What a crock. Especially while
watching millionaire Black athletes play.

And now it is using the black cause to divide the American nation, for ideological and political purposes. Not a word about blacks who massacre blacks… recently in Sudan, hundreds of black massacred by blacks…. In the Congo, since 1996, millions of blacks have been massacred by blacks… I look at this democratic party and all those on the republican side who support it, and I say to myself: watch out, reality itself is in the process of collapse it all. These idiots will end up in the dustbin of history. with all their ideological crap. The American butterflies, the beautiful American landscape, the American birds, the American forests… all the well-intentioned, talented people, do not disappear… America is still there, and no one on the side of these idiots will change that.

The two big lessons here are right on point. The Left detests the U.S. (and Western Civilization generally) and wants to destroy them by any means necessary. For nearly a century it attempted to smash them on the anvil of “class.” Now it does so on the anvil of “race.” And the NFL goes along with it. Fancy that.
The nihilistic Left detests everything, including itself.
Stop calling it the “Black Anthem” for starters and sit down or remain seated when it gets flamboyantly hyperbolically sung. Better yet boycott the Super Bowl, it’s not so super anymore.

If they play the “Black National Anthem” because a majority of the players are black, then they must play Hatikvah to honor the owners.
So now, has segregation been completely re-instated? Shall we count the ways? Schools now have separate admission standards, separate graduations, separate dorms, separate curricula, all of course allegedly “equal” to the others. We can call that “Separate but Equal” the doctrine of Plessy v. Fergusson (1896). The Supreme Court allegedly overturned that in 1954. The issue is two fold here and not very complicated as long as the truth is the guide.
#1 Most blacks in America are the ultimate racist. .proven by all their actions. After its all said and done as humans we are truly what we do rather than what we say
#2 if you really want to put this to rest then you’ll have to sacrifice a little. Stop buying as many of corporate America products as possible if the come out in the woke side. They only respond to one thing and that’s loss of revenues. Plenty of current examples.
Lastly, there have been hundreds of thousands of black Americans that have died for this country honoring the original and only American flag and anthem. Should their deaths along with millions of whites be in vein for those who have never served their country in any form except to whine and take all they can.

Since blacks are some 14% of the US population, equity would dictate that they should be 14% of NFL and other pro-sports teams. How could they possibly argue against that? Perhaps it is the all-pervasive systemic racism that accounts for them being 57% of the NFL players. Yeah…that must be it.

The acceptance of a separate “Black” National Anthem strongly suggests we are almost ready for a separate “Black Constitution”, quickly followed by a Black “Supreme Court” to confirm it. THEN what?? A “Black Declaration of Independence”? Isn’t that like an “Emancipation Proclamation”? OH wait. That was a Republican thing, “freeing the Slaves” from the “Private Sector”, only to have the Democrat Party put them right back into “slavery”, in the PUBLIC Sector, where they remain today!
In the 1990’s I taught at a high school that had an almost all black student body. They ONLY sang Lift Up Your Voice and Sing at student assemblies, but sometimes sang nothing. I spoke at a faculty meeting to the effect that the Star Spangled Banner should also be sung. One of the black administrators at the next meeting was so emotional and almost crying saying I had called her a racist (I hadn’t). Anyhow the policy was changed and on the very few occasions of assemblies (there were many issues related to crowd control) both were sung. I don’t know what happened after I left the school in 1997. So be aware that soon there will be a move to eliminate the National Anthem and only sing the “Black National Anthem.” The team owners have caved. No guts!
I’m going to a S.B. Party. I’ll make sure I arrive a little after the game starts so as not to upset the libbies that will be there.

Although ignoring the problem won’t make it go away, I will tune in to the game a few minutes after kickoff and find something else to do during halftime. Try as they might to destroy the sport, I still enjoy watching a good game of football. And, by the way, it’s a good venue to find out just which sponsors to personally boycott.
…and country club PGA punks sell themselves to the Saudis’ LIV Golf. NFL and NBA slugs get millions and complain about oppression? Every walk of life, every business, every government level has high level members of the ‘demographic in question’ and we never hear the end of this race based claptrap.
That’s why I’ve adopted Lot’s abandonment of Sodom and Gomorrah (emotionally) and unlike his wife, I’ll not look back.

I hope you are having a good Sunday. We’ve decided to go all out for the Superbowl today – buffalo wings, chips and guacamole, pizza, root beer, ginger beer – the works. I find it funny because odds are no one will watch more than the first 10 minutes of the game. I think the idea of the event is more exciting that watching the game itself.

I stopped watching Pro NFL, Pro NBA games years ago after most Woke CRT/DIE cowardly club owners stopped playing the US National anthem and/or caved in to entitled unpatriotic players that started kneeing when it was played. The cameras try to cut away from showing the disrespect on live TV, but it’s there.
If Wokeism and CRT/DIE was really a thing, 10 of 12 pro football players would be white and 4 of 5 basketball players would be white IN SPITE the white players lack SKILL or MERIT!………..right?

Americans should boycott the games IN DROVES (I don’t care how big a fan you are). When the team owners are faced with empty stadiums and tanking viewership rates on TV, they won’t have a choice but to stop this BS if they don’t want to lose their shirt. It would only take a couple of seasons…
