Just recently, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) twice described Israel as a “pariah” among the world’s nations:”Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah. … [The Israeli public] understands better than anybody that Israel cannot hope to succeed as a pariah opposed by the rest of the world.”It was for that reason that the majority leader said that Israel should choose a leader other than Benjamin Netanyahu, its current prime minister. Then, Schumer implied, Israel will presumably no longer be a pariah.In Schumer’s view, and in the view of most of the Democratic Party, as well as that of The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, The Guardian, the BBC, and nearly every university in the West, the world is right, and Israel is wrong.
Therefore, Israel is a pariah among the nations.But there is another possible explanation for why Israel is a pariah among the nations: namely, that the nations of the world are morally wrong and Israel is morally right with regard to the war the tiny Jewish country is waging in Gaza against Hamas.And what exactly does “pariah among the nations” mean? Has a plebiscite among the world’s nations been taken? Do we really know how all the world’s nations view Israel at this time? Or do we only know the views of the world’s governments? And even with regard to governments, Israel is not entirely a pariah.
One very significant government, that of Germany, continues to support Israel. As regards the nations themselves, according to polls, the majority of the American people continue to support Israel. Ironically, then, the description of Israel given by the majority leader of the United States Senate does not even hold true in the senator’s own country.
So, why did Mr. Schumer use that language — not once, but twice?
One reason, I believe, is that he is a frightened Jew. This is not my opinion. He acknowledged fear of being eradicated in a Holocaust-like event: “Some Palestinians,” he said, “have voted to empower groups like Hamas, which seeks to eradicate the Jewish people.”
“Some” Palestinians? Most Palestinians, according to all polls, adore Hamas. Three out of four, according to The Palestinian Center for Policy Survey and Research (and reported by Reuters), support the Oct. 7 atrocities. The primary reason the Palestinian Authority has not allowed elections in 18 years is that it knows Hamas would win. In a decent world, the Palestinians would be a pariah.
Schumer knows Hamas “seeks to eradicate the Jewish people.” Few non-Jews have a clue how much the Holocaust has affected Jews — including those born after the Holocaust and those Jews who lost no relatives in the greatest genocide in modern history. Most Jews suffer from a form of collective PTSD.
It could not be otherwise. The most culturally advanced country in the world, the most militarily powerful country in Europe, sought to murder every Jew in Europe — including babies and the elderly. And it nearly succeeded: Two of every three European Jews were murdered. Equally significantly, “the nations” watched. So, just for the record, the Jews in Europe during World War II were also a pariah among the nations. With a few noble exceptions, the world was divided between nations that helped exterminate the Jews and nations that refused to do anything for them — neither allowing into their countries the few who managed to escape the Nazis nor bombing any of the death camps or even just the railway tracks leading into those camps.
For 3,000 years, the fate of the Jews has nearly always been to be a pariah among the nations. This was foretold in the Hebrew Bible itself, which cites Balaam, a pagan “prophet,” as saying that Israel is “a nation that shall dwell alone, not be reckoned among the nations” (Numbers 23:9). When Jews are defenseless, they are a pariah. And when Jews defend themselves, they are, according to Mr. Schumer and the elites of the world, also a pariah.
Had Mr. Schumer told the truth, he would have said this: Israel’s being a pariah among the world’s nations tells us much more about the world’s nations than about Israel. Just as it did a mere two generations ago.

Antisemitism represents the twisting of the Christian tradition, rather than being faithful to its intrinsic nature. The Emperor Constantine was deeply anti-Semitic, requiring that adult converts to his syncretistic State church, which was comprised of elements of Babylonian idolatry as well as Christianity, should formally renounce Judaism. Note that provision was made within the State church for the Babylonians to go on practising their faith, just by a different name (the 25th December is the birthday of the Babylonian god Tammuz), but no such latitude was afforded to the Jews. I strongly suspect that it was at this point that reading the NT in Greek, rather than Aramaic, became normative. Prior to Constantine, not only did the church not have the power to persecute any other faith, but it forbade its members to bear arms (which of course had to change under Constantine). One of the reasons why the marginaliation of the Aramaic NT is important, is that the Peshitta makes it clear that Jesus consistently applied the Tetragrammaton to himself. Absent that knowledge, it would be easy to conclude that 1st century Judaism was rather trigger-happy about stoning people. If Jesus was not who he said he was, then he actually did deserve to be sentenced as a blasphemer.

The following paragraph is a parody of some comments Schumer made to the Supreme Court a year ago:
Schumer: “I want to tell you Netanyahu. I want to tell you Israel. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with this awful war. The United States government has six ways from Sunday of ruining you if you destroy Hamas. Don’t you dare win this war.”
Never mind that Israel was attacked by Hamas on Oct.7th. Never mind that Hamas has broken every cease fire with Israel. Never mind that Israel has been preemptively attacked by Muslims in every war they have fought. The Democrats just gotta get those Jews.

A pariah is a bad word. But thank G-d, lsrael is not like the world. According to the Scriptures, Israel will never ever be like the world, even though some Israelites once did (and some leftists today still want):
“We want to be like the nations, like the peoples of the world, who serve wood and stone.”
And the Lord replied that “what you have in mind will never happen”.
As a non-Jew, Holocaust is of course something else for me than for Jews. But Holocaust is nevertheless an open wound inside me. And some times even an accusation against the Lord. So I have to tell myself that the Lord´s justice will some day prevail.
The pariahs are the world leaders, – many of them. Because they are amoral. Following evil. By ignorance or purpose.
But the Lord is in control. His thoughts are higher than ours. And he loves us and has made himself dependant on us – what an amazing G-d! He “just” needs people; to pray, proclaim and act. Against lies, amorality, godlessness.

I appreciate this article. As a longtime supporter of Israel I found Sen. Schumer’s speech very disturbing. I understand fear because terrorists have said they first “come for the Saturday people and go after the Sunday people.” Basically, this means Western civilization.

When”progressives” (most recently Alexandria Ocasio Cortez) accuse Israel of “genocide” it’s an attempt to rub salt in old wounds by inverting the Holocaust. When Hamas and Fatah explicitly call for genocide of Israel’s Jews (now 50% of the worlds Jews and the only Jewish community of any size that isn’t shrinking) they’re expressing the feelings of the vast majority of “Palestinians”- Adolf Hitler would be a “mainstream Palestinian” in terms of his attitude toward Jews.
The only real difference between Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad and the Nazis is the amount of power they wield vis a vis Jews. The United Nations, Obama, Biden and the “progressive wing” of the Democratic Party want to strengthen them and fatally weaken Israel. Hamas (and Fatah’s) stated goal (destroying Israel and perpetrating a Second Holocaust) is a secret wet dream of the Obama, Biden, Greta Thunberg and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.

The Palestinian Playbook:
1. Kill as many Jews in Israel as possible.
2. Celebrate in the streets.
3. Promise that attacks will not stop until all 7 million Jews in Israel are dead.
4. Hide behind Palestinian children.
5. Show dead and suffering Palestinian children to CNN.
6. Whine to CNN about Collective Punishment and War Crimes.
7. Demand an Immediate Ceasefire.
8. Get Europe and the USA to demand an immediate Ceasefire.
9. Get Politically Correct Jews worried about reelection and accusations of dual loyalty to join in the demand for an immediate Ceasefire.
10. Force Israel to accept an immediate Ceasefire.
11. Repeat 1-10.
Works every time.
A Ceasefire now means more dead Jews in the future.

One of the appalling things that has been very disappointing is that some of the leading spokespeople who spoke against the bioweapon shots are speaking against Israel and claiming Israel is committing genocide against the “Palestinians.” They are either ignorant or lying. There’s no such people group as Palestinians. Most of those who live in Gaza are for the genocide of Israelis and Jews. In fact many people in the world are against Jews. This was prophesied numerous times in the Bible. We are now living in the times that were prophesied.

If only Mr. Schumer as a Jew would be just a little open minded. God’s word fully shows how in the ‘end times’ the Jews WILL STAND ALONE.. Being open minded enough… to realize that Jesus words to the Apostle John in Jesus’ Revelation states that Israel will stand alone. If he’d also remember that God states He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel ( Genesis 12:3). Anything said or done that does not SUPPORT Israel is NOT on God’s “side”.

When God released the Israelites out of Egypt and they crossed the Jordan river, they were instructed by God to completely annihilate the kings and kingdoms of the land. I believe that is because those people had evil bred into their very being and could not be cleansed of it. The mistake was that the Israelites did not completely and utterly destroy those nations. Today they are fighting the same line of people who have such evil in them that they must utterly be destroyed. Israel needs to finish this campaign and it will be best for the world when there is not a single Hamas soldier left on the planet.
