Why not implement online voting? To obtain a ballot form, you make a small deposit from your debit card. After voting, the system issues you with a code enabling the deposit to be returned to your account. No debit card can be used to obtain more than one ballot. Other precautions might include issuing a two part security key to each voter, and registering the IP address from which each vote comes. Any IP address which generates more than 2 votes (i.e., husband and wife) would set off an alarm at HQ which could only be over-ridden in the presence of invigilators from two or more political parties. The system maintains a running total of overall votes cast and of the votes cast for each candidate. Votes can be cast only between 7 am and 9 pm, when the HQ is staffed – any attempt to vote outside these times results in a spoiled vote.

Great proposal, but this is fruitless grandstanding.

Fighting federal overreach with more federal overreach is just handing the reins to your enemies once they take Congress back.

States are going to have to reassert their position as authors of the federal charter, and thus above it.

“It is a totally transpartisan bill, who would object?” Who would object?!? ALL Democrat state reps, that’s who. I live in CT, and though I love the bill, hell will freeze over before my Democrat state rep or any other will support this bill, let alone sponsor it. Does Wolf not understand that the Democrat Party WANTS voter fraud? Has she been living under a rock?
