“A Jury in Delaware on Tuesday found Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, guilty on three felony gun charges after a weeklong trial that focused on his history of drug addiction,” NBC News reports. “Hunter Biden was charged in federal court in Wilmington with three felony counts tied to possession of a gun while using narcotics, and had pleaded not guilty. The jury started its deliberations on Monday afternoon, and deliberated for about three hours before returning the historic verdict.” The trial was the first to involve the offspring of a sitting president, and reaction was swift.
“Remember,” tweeted John Podhoretz, “it was Hunter Biden who blew up his own plea deal by insisting on future immunity, which had clearly been some implicit understanding between his lawyers and the justice department – which made the judge think that something hinky was going on. Hunter did this to himself.” Others were amazed that a sitting president would allow his son to publish a book, Beautiful Things, about his crack addiction and criminal acts.
“This trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine,” said a statement from the Trump campaign. “Crooked Joe Biden’s reign over the Biden Family Criminal Empire is all coming to an end on November 5th, and never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit.” With that in mind, embattled Americans might dial it back to 2012.
“Vice President Joe Biden will take the lead on the administration’s next phase China policy,” wrote Steve Clemons in a January 2, 2012 Atlantic story headlined “Biden Gets China.” That acquisition was orchestrated by Thomas Donilon, a veteran of the Carter White House who advised Biden’s first presidential run in 1988. Hunter Biden has acknowledged meeting with Jonathan Li, a Chinese banker and his partner in the fund during the trip.
As the New York Post reported, Joe Biden got a piece of the action through son Hunter, whose business associate, Tony Bobulinski, is on record that “the Big Guy” is indeed Joe Biden. Other revelations turned up on a laptop the crack-head Hunter left with a repairman.
In October of 2020, 51 members of the intelligence community signed a letter charging that the laptop was “Russian disinformation,” an echo of the Russia hoax Democrats deployed against President Trump. All 51, including CIA directors Mike Morell and John Brennan, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, knew the claim was false.
“I have seen the contents of that laptop and retain a copy to this day,” contends former CIA operations officer Charles S. Faddis. “I can assure you it was immediately obvious in looking at the laptop’s contents that it was real and that it suggested strongly that Joe Biden himself was compromised by a number of foreign actors—chief among them the Chinese Communist Party.” As Americans may recall, in 2019 Biden said the Chinese Communists were “not bad folks” and last year he let the Communist regime send a surveillance balloon across the United States, including strategic military bases.
Fox News recently asked Clapper if he would retract the letter and the former DNI said “no.” Many other signatories, including former CIA boss Michael Hayden, refused to discuss the matter. The disinformation ruse may have influenced the 2020 election, but the actual laptop served as evidence in Hunter Biden’s trial.
“There may be high-functioning alcoholics, but there’s no such thing as a high-functioning crack addict,” claimed Biden’s attorney Abbe Lowell. At this point, it’s clear that there’s no such thing as a high-functioning Joe Biden, on record that he would not pardon Hunter if he was found guilty, which is now the case. Two of the counts carry maximum sentences of 10, plus maximum fine of $250. A sentencing date has yet to be set, and many unknowns remain.
As Russian comic Yakov Smirnoff has explained, the KGB would throw a man off the roof to hit the guy they really want. Such a dynamic may come to inspire the Democrats. For all but the willfully blind, the Biden administration has been a disaster and Joe Biden’s dysfunction grows worse by the day.
As John Hinderaker explains, “there is a great deal of evidence that Joe Biden has taken upwards of $20 million in bribes from foreign powers and interests,” a serious crime. The Democrats could deploy lawfare to force out Joe, then replace him at the Democratic National Convention in August. Prospects such as Gavin Newsom are waiting in the wings.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump still faces lawfare attacks and the FBI and intelligence community are openly deployed against him. On the other hand, former Attorney General William Barr, who supported the Mar-a-Lago raid, now contends that “a continuation of the Biden administration is national suicide.” As Trump likes to say, we’ll have to see what happens.

Hunter’s trial is a SHOW (like Breaking Bad or House of Cards were shows) designed to distract us from what has actually happened to our former republic. Hunter will not be convicted of anything; or if he is, he will walk.

Trumps best card was pointing out how one sided and corrupt the justice system was by their trying and convicting him.
That is largely lost now that the justice system has shown to be ‘even handed’ – favoring neither side – by convicting Biden’s son.
But this is just a smart a ploy on their part. Young Biden is sacrificed to the cause, but will spend no time in jail. He will be pardoned on Biden’s last day in office. Or this will help Biden to win.
He most likely won’t spend any time in jail for THIS crime.

Biden said he would not pardon his son. He didn’t say he would not commute the sentences which is in his power and would not contradict stating he would not pardon his son.

Remember that to convict Trump, lawyers had to work hard to invent crimes that no sane justice system would otherwise pursue. The statute of limitations was redefined in one case, felony charges were invented in the other. In contrast, it wouldn’t surprise me if Hunter gets 6 months of community service for his conviction.
