I took my son to school the other day like I always do and when I got home, I laid down to watch television because I still wasn’t awake yet and I wanted a nap if I could get one in. So, I guess I did fall asleep because I had left the television on channel 12 (PBS) and had woken up to Curious George (the same day, mind you!). It’s the show that he watches right before we leave.
Well, I heard my husband come home and I heard my son walking around in his shoes. So I think, shit! I’m late! When I ran out in the kitchen, still in my PJ’s, I asked my husband why he hadn’t woken me up before he left for work. It wasn’t the weekend, so why was I still asleep. He points at the clock on the microwave… It’s 3:00 pm. They’re just coming home from work and school.
Another motherhood fail!

Wow! Well obviously you needed some sleep! I wish I could take a nap.
I love your blog! Visiting from SITS. Have a great day!
I think we’ve all had those days! lol
Kasandria
Just look at it like you were beamed up, looked at and beamed down with no memory of what happened.
You must have been exhausted!
Just stopped by from SITS to say hi; hope you’ll do the same.

Wow you must have been tired. Hope you are now rested.
Hahahahha! It happens! Quite a deep nap sleep!
I try to get in a nap here and there, but I have a 4 year old at home so it doesn’t happen that often. If I fall asleep with him there and leave him to his own devices, I would probably not have a house left when I woke up lol.
Just Jennifer … That was just hilarious!
When i have my own child, i was very happy, but as soon n as they grown up and get naughty, i kinda sad for it.. :*(
Hahahaha, when I have kids, that will totally be the sort of thing I do… :S
Awww, that’s sad and cute. And let me tell you, been there, done that!
Not a fail at all! When you are the mommy you have to take advantage of those RARE opportunities to catch up on your rest. Consider it a heaven sent gift to be able to sleep like that!
You really were exhausted! It happens to all of us at some point when we’re sleep deprived from toddler overload.
Or what about those times that you have to lay in bed and THINK REAL HARD about what day it is. Yeah, I do that.
I also pray that everyday is Saturday.
LOL! I’ve fallen asleep and gotten up like 5 mins before I’m supposed to leave to pick him up from school! I know how you feel.M
wow you must have been tired!!
