My husband won’t buy me yoga classes. It makes me a sad panda. :-? So when I went to the local Target one day and found all I needed to start doing Yoga myself, I plastered myself to glass on the case and went, “I want it!” I think I might have drooled a little. I don’t remember.
What am I talking about, you ask? Why, Wii Fit of course. I want the Yoga stuffs. I’d be on it every day (well morning, since my son is gone to school from 8-11am) getting myself bendy and limber and then I’ll move onto other things that Nintendo might have to offer. I haven’t looked into it fully but I will and I will find what I need. Especially with help from uhm….Wii Mommies. They have all the new news on what there I’m guessing. Someone even lost 60 pounds (no lie) using the fucking thing. I definitely have to get me one. Need to lose my baby tummy (yes four years later and I still look five months preggo) and my ass. And hips.
Someone buy me one!! ;)

I have Wii Fit and it sucks! Save your money and get a good Yoga DVD from Amazon instead.
Yah i’ve heard that the wii fit is definitely not the greatest thing in the world. I wouldn’t reccomend it. Instead spend the 100 bucks or so and get 3 sessions of personal training from 24hour fitness. Much more helpful and informative than a video game.
I dont do tons of yoga with the wii fit…but I think it is great! You can get a workout in and play some games right in the comfort of your own home. I have been a member of wii mommies since right before I got my wii fit…Julie the co founder was the one who lost 60lbs. I myself have lost 40 lbs using it and my sister has lost about 20lbs. I cant really tell you how the yoga is compared to other yoga things, as I have never done yoga before…what is nice with the wii fit is it has a sensor and tells you if you are not in the correct position or times you…where a dvd cant…yes a personal trainer can…but 3 sessions vs the lifetime of the wii fit(which I have had for over 6 months, so definitly a lot cheaper than a gym membership. If you want a more intense workout than try the wii easport active…more of a gym workout….but you can lose weight with the wii fit and it is low intensity.
I love doing yoga to DVD’s. They are well worth the money and aren’t all that expensive. I’d be afraid if I bought a Wii I’d end up playing Dance Dance Revolution or World of Warcraft and eventually ignoring the rest of the human race!
I’ve heard lots of great things about Wii fit. I hope it works out for you! I think it’s a great idea!
I keep thinking about whether I want a wii fit too, but ruled it out awhile ago. But. . . there are several other new workout videos that also work with the wii, just to confuse us all.
Thanks for stopping by my site yesterday!
Pam
I know nothing about Yoga but good luck in what ever you choose.
Keep us posted.
Yoga is awesome!
Well, while someone is buying you the WII stuff, they might as well buy it for me too!! I think it is so neat, and I would SO use it!!
I Wanna be Wii Fit!!…
My husband won’t buy me yoga classes. It makes me a sad panda. So when I went to the local Target one day and found all I needed to start doing Yoga myself, I plastered myself to glass on the case……
[...] But it’s pretty sad, isn’t it. But then a few days later (days people!!), I write about wanting to get a Wii Fit an start working out. I got 5 comments in less then a minute. I find that pretty pathetic. In all [...]
I have the Fit. I don’t use it nearly enough (I’m a gym rat), but I bought it for the balance and yoga more than anything else. It’s fun; definitely worth having.
Isn’t It Funny?…
I think it is. People are getting picky about what they comment on lately. Or so I’ve seen in my travels around the blogophere. If you don’t relate to whatever other people are writing about, you……
Get it on ebay, still best place to find one.
The best thing to do with Wii Fit if you are really into fitness is find a partner and play 2-player game. Yeah, the computer is okay but you play with a partner and the competitiveness aspect comes in and you forget that you’re playing a video game.
You seriously have a comment policy? Seriously?
Anyway, I have the Wii Fit and I used it but it wasn’t really all that great. The time you have to stop between the workouts to choose another one makes it almost pointless. I heard somewhere they called it the “New Wii Fit” not too long ago so maybe they’ve changed that since I got mine.
Too bad you aren’t closer, I’d just give you mine. It’s almost useless anyway. It doesn’t give an accurate weight because I have it on the carpet and half the yoga moves have to be done wrong to get them right on the game. I don’t think its been used since March.
Now I want a WII FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(ps, you have a really nice blog!)
Much love,
Ingrid
LoL that’s all you have to say? HAHA I guess you could be right though.
LOL no one actually reads it. Haha. I just got bored one day and started making pages.
