Sk*rt - Digg for Women

Have you seen Sk*rt? It’s a new digg-like community for us women and moms. I first found out about it at Ponn’s blog when I was doing my daily reading routine. 
When I saw the article, I knew I’d seen the linking graphic somewhere before. But at the time, I did not know what it was. I stated the same thing when I commented over there.
So, what is it? What is Sk*rt all about? Well, here is a small definition…
Plain and simple, sk*rt is the female version of Digg. sk*rt is the place to find and/or link to anything and everything on the Web that you’d like to share with other women. If sk*rt users like what you submit, they’ll vote for it. The more votes, the more likely your link will make it to the front page. Links on the front page are seen by everybody and get lots of love. The front page content is ever-changing and always cool.

Ok. Great. I love it. And they’re using Pligg. Awesome. I think this new community is going to get alot of attention. From the looks of it, they already have, and there may be more on the way. The design is awesome as well. But what I want to point you to are the contests and giveaways they are having. Just by linking to them and emailing them about it, you can be entered to win many nifty prizes. As you can see, I have, but there are many other badges you can use. All of them are awesome in their own right.

Your on sk*rt’s front page! Check your stats and share your experiences, as I have…they’re now my #2 top referrer! It’ll be pretty-darn hard to knocked StumbleUpon outta that spot…but given the response in 2-days alone…one never knows!

This has got to be the dumbest idea ever. I don’t need a separate Digg for women. Sk*rt is a sexist name and the pink color is sickening.
I can’t believe women are excited about this when the men at Digg are making fun of this site. Instead of rejoicing at yet another women only corner of the web, challenge Digg on their practices instead of scurrying off to let the boys play in their sandbox.

What is the difference between having W.E as a tv channel and having SPike for men as a TV channel?

women have been oppressed for how long? women get paid 60 cents to every 1 dollar men are paid for
and I AM HAPPY these women did it because if they can make money and help OTHER women promote their services GREAT
