We have no TV and no loud toys. I have a whole toy receommendation page called "No Batteries Required-Toys That Don't Make Noise!" I am happy to meet a fellow loud toy hater. I think we are in the minority. Someone gave us one of those "hot" Tickle Me Elmos for Xmas and I was fortunately able to intercept it and give to Toys For Tots before my kids saw it. I had a train that was supposed to whistle, but he couldn't abide it. He took the whistle part out and I was probably none the wiser.
