Finally, not knowing what else to do, I went to a fire station and told them what he was doing and asked for help. They were great! They explained about fires and what they did. They let him climb on the truck. They let him start a fire with a magnesium bar. They demonstrated the getup they have to wear to set fires. They were calm and talked to him man to man. You may want to take your son to a firehouse. When they explain all they have to do to fight fires, and show the equipment and suits they have to wear. It makes an impression.
