These Three Things

September 20th, 2007 · Notebook ·

Everyone has certain qualities that make up who they are. I know I have a few, although I can’t actually think of what they are off the top of my head. Some of the ones (mainly three in particular) I can actually think of aren’t anything special but I think they describe me pretty well.

My main one is that I try to be a good mother. At the moment, I am struggling through some problems with Mini Buff and his attitude, but I am told as long as I hang in there, he’ll come around and everything will be ok. And that is what I have been doing. Most of the stuff I do with the baby is done by me alone. And I have to try very hard to keep him on the scheduale and habits I am trying to get him on. His father makes it hard because he gives into the whining and screaming which pushes me back as well as the baby. But I’m doing my best.

I’ve also been a little determined when it came to things I enjoyed and wanted to do. Especially when it came to some sports and the computer interests I had. Along with my opinionated nature (don’t ask me where I got it) that is always getting me in trouble with my husband, especially when it comes to my in-laws, I think these three things are the best of my personal qualities.

So, now that you know a little bit (more) about me, the question is, what are three of your best qualities? Go ahead and tell us!

It’s a little mind boggling but when you are finally in a position to parent, it is all over with.

My daughter is 24 and in the Navy. If I were to start all over again, I know what I would do now.

There is a good source of information - even the men seem to like it - called “The Love and Logic Institute” which is super for helping us sort out ways to react to certain things our children do.

Like I said, now, I’d be fine. I guess that is why grandparents are so good with the children…

    Something to think about.

p.s. the book “Get out of my life, but first, drive me and Sharyl to the mall” is also pretty helpful. i don’t agree with everything in it - it did help me out there for awhile.
